The thing about fountain pens and ink is, you need a good base for your writing. A lot of the enjoyment of pen and ink starts with decent paper. “Fountain pen friendly paper” is a term that is spreading rapidly, and justifiably so. It feels like a waste to not get nice a sheen and shading from your inks. So, investing in good paper or a nice fountain pen friendly journal is worth it to get the most out of your writing.
